AWP skins: what to know before you buy
The AWP is Counter-Strike's bolt-action sniper rifle and its most expensive gun. One hit to the head, chest or stomach kills, which makes it the weapon a team's star player saves for, and its skins are among the most valuable items in CS2.
Well-known finishes include the Dragon Lore from the Cobblestone Collection, Gungnir, Medusa, Lightning Strike, Asiimov, Hyper Beast and Neo-Noir. Newer cases added the Chromatic Aberration, Duality and Chrome Cannon. Price depends on rarity, exterior (float), StatTrak or Souvenir status and stickers.

Frequently asked questions
Why are some AWP skins so expensive?
Skins such as the Dragon Lore, Gungnir and Medusa come from collections that no longer drop or only dropped in Major souvenir packages, so supply is fixed while demand keeps growing.
Is there a Factory New AWP Asiimov?
No. The AWP | Asiimov has a float range of 0.18 to 1.00, so Field-Tested is the cleanest exterior. A low Field-Tested float is the closest thing to a perfect copy.
What do the exteriors mean?
Exterior is set by float: Factory New 0.00–0.07, Minimal Wear 0.07–0.15, Field-Tested 0.15–0.38, Well-Worn 0.38–0.45 and Battle-Scarred 0.45–1.00. Lower floats look cleaner and usually cost more.
Can I check the float before buying?
Yes. Listings on WAXPEER show the float value, so you can compare copies of the same AWP skin and pick the wear you want.
