CS2 stickers: what to know before you buy
Stickers are applied to weapons and are visible on the gun in your hands. They come from sticker capsules and from Major tournament capsules, where team and player autograph stickers share part of the sales with the teams and players. A sticker can also be scraped once applied, and fully scraping it removes it.
Stickers come in several finishes: paper, glitter, holo, foil, gold and lenticular, and the rarer finishes of a design cost more than its paper version. The most valuable are early Major stickers, such as the holo team stickers from Katowice 2014, whose supply stopped growing long ago. Price depends on the finish, the tournament, the team or player and how many copies remain unapplied.

Does a sticker add value to a skin?
Rare stickers can add a lot, especially when several copies of the same sticker are applied to one weapon. Common stickers usually add little.
What is the difference between holo, foil and gold?
They are rarer versions of the same sticker design with a different look: holo has a shifting rainbow effect, foil a metallic sheen and gold a gold finish. Rarer finishes cost more.
Can I remove a sticker after applying it?
You can scrape it until it disappears, but the sticker is destroyed in the process. It cannot go back to your inventory.
