CS2 rifle skins: what to know before you buy
Rifles are the weapons most full-buy rounds are played with. Each side has its own: Terrorists buy the AK-47, the cheaper Galil AR and the scoped SG 553, while Counter-Terrorists choose between the M4A4 and the silenced M4A1-S, with the FAMAS and the scoped AUG as alternatives. Because they are in your hands for most of a match, rifle skins are the most traded category in CS2.
Famous finishes include the AK-47 | Fire Serpent, M4A4 | Howl, M4A1-S | Printstream, AUG | Akihabara Accept and FAMAS | Commemoration, with affordable classics such as the AK-47 | Redline at the other end. Price depends on rarity, exterior (float), StatTrak or Souvenir status, pattern and stickers.

Frequently asked questions
Which rifle skins are the most popular?
AK-47, M4A4 and M4A1-S skins see the most trades because those rifles are bought in almost every full-buy round. AUG, SG 553, FAMAS and Galil AR skins usually cost less for the same rarity.
Why do two copies of the same rifle skin differ in price?
Float, pattern and stickers. A low-float Minimal Wear can cost much more than a high-float one, and patterns such as a blue Case Hardened or applied rare stickers multiply the value.
Is a StatTrak rifle worth it?
StatTrak versions count your kills with that weapon and are rarer, so they cost more. On a rifle you use every round, many players think the counter is worth the premium.
How do I buy a rifle skin on WAXPEER?
Pick a listing, check its float and stickers, and pay from your balance. The seller then sends you a Steam trade offer that you accept to receive the skin.
