Yep, 2008—so if you suddenly feel ancient, you’re not alone. He started playing CS:GO in 2019 when he was just 11, and apparently, he hasn’t looked back since. Like many budding CS pros, his older brother introduced him to the game, sealing his fate as a future menace on the server.

By 2021, he was grinding Faceit matches with laser focus. Over 6,100 matches later (which is more than some established pros!), scouts and community members couldn’t help but notice the whiz kid climbing the leaderboards. He also used an original handle—something about “CEMEN_BAKIN” referencing a character from a TV show—adding to his early mystique.

The Path to Spirit Academy

In May 2024, scout Alexei “Overdrive” Biryukov spotted Maxim’s talent and roped him into test games for Spirit Academy. The tryouts went off without a hitch, and bam—he found himself on a pro team, rifling alongside other rising talents. Today, that’s where he’s making waves, turning heads, and occasionally demolishing seasoned opponents on Faceit.

If rumors are to be believed, bigger teams have already shown interest. But hey, the kid’s only 16. Let’s see how he handles the pressure and the hype in the months to come.

How Many Hours Does He Have in CS2?

Brace yourself: 7,780 hours. That’s more hours than some of us spend sleeping in two years. Starting in 2019, it averages out to roughly 1,300 hours a year. Put another way, that’s a lot of bullets. His inventory is also rumored to be worth over $18,000, so apparently, he’s not just collecting killstreaks—he’s stacking up virtual gear too. Oh, and he’s clocked almost 1,000 hours in Dota 2. That’s high praise for a teen who was basically in middle school not too long ago.
